By creating an account or using the Tchavi API, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including developers, businesses, and any other parties accessing the service.
Tchavi provides an API gateway that gives developers access to AI models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, and others) through a single, OpenAI-compatible endpoint. We act as a transparent proxy — your requests are forwarded to upstream AI providers and responses are returned to you. We manage authentication, billing, and rate limiting.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. Each account receives an initial allocation of free credits. Additional credits can be purchased through credit packs. Credits do not expire but are non-refundable. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys. Do not share your API keys with unauthorized parties.
Payments are processed via mobile money (Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo, and 30+ operators across 15 African countries) through our partner pawapay. All prices are displayed in FCFA. Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment. Failed or cancelled payments do not result in credit allocation. We do not offer refunds for purchased credits.
You agree not to: use Tchavi to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content; attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API; reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our platform; resell API access without our written permission; use the service to compete directly with Tchavi. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
API usage is subject to rate limits that vary by credit pack tier. When your credits are exhausted, API requests return a 402 error until you recharge. We do not guarantee specific uptime or response times, though we strive for high availability. Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, upstream provider outages, or unforeseen circumstances.
You retain all rights to the content you send through and receive from the API. Tchavi does not claim ownership of your prompts, responses, or application code. The Tchavi brand, logo, and platform code are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.
Tchavi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for: content generated by AI models; losses resulting from service downtime or API errors; actions taken by upstream AI providers; unauthorized access due to compromised API keys. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited and your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Benin. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cotonou, Benin.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
