Tchavi ("we", "us", "our") operates the tchavi.com platform and API gateway. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.
We collect the following information: your email address and name when you create an account; payment transaction metadata (amount, provider, timestamp) processed through pawapay — we do not store your mobile money PINs or account numbers; API usage data (request counts, model used, credits consumed) for billing purposes; basic analytics (pages visited, device type) to improve our service.
We use your data to: provide and maintain the Tchavi API service; process payments and manage your credit balance; send transactional emails (payment confirmations, low credit alerts); improve our platform and fix bugs; respond to your support requests via WhatsApp or email.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: pawapay, our payment processor, to process mobile money transactions; Resend, our transactional email provider, to deliver account emails (verification, payment confirmations, low-credit alerts); upstream AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Mistral, ByteDance, Kuaishou) to forward your API requests — note that your prompts and responses pass through their servers per their respective privacy policies. We act as a transparent proxy and do not store your prompts or AI responses.
All API traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3. API keys are hashed before storage. We follow industry best practices to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
You can: access and export your account data at any time from your dashboard; update or correct your personal information in Settings; delete your account by contacting us — this permanently removes all your data; request a copy of all data we hold about you by emailing us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on the platform. Continued use of Tchavi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
