Grok Imagine Image 2 is xAI's image generation and editing model, released on 7 August 2026.
It ranked fifth on the Artificial Analysis text-to-image board on 17 October 2026 (Elo 1167), ahead of Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro. It is strong on bold graphic styles and on large titles. On Tchavi every image costs the same, whether you ask for 1K or 2K and for low or medium quality; by default it renders in medium at 2K.
