GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst is OpenAI's image generation and editing model released on 8 September 2026, the precision tier of the GPT Image 2.5 line.
On 17 October 2026 it ranked first on both Artificial Analysis image boards, text-to-image (Elo 1220) and editing (1199), at its top quality. It renders legible on-image text, accents included, which makes it the model for posters, flyers and menus.
