  1. Create a Tchavi account.
  2. Top up, from 1,000 F CFA.
  3. Create your sk-tch-… key in the dashboard.
from openai import OpenAI

)

Kimi API questions

Pricing, API key, payment: the short answers.

As of November 3, 2026, the Kimi API costs from 317 F CFA (Kimi K2.5) to 2,200 F CFA (Kimi K3) per 1M input tokens on Tchavi. Kimi K3.1 Pro: 1,463 F CFA input and 7,316 F CFA output per 1M tokens. You pay per use in credits, from a 1,000 F CFA top-up. The table above lists all 3 models with their price.

It depends on the model. Without a discount, you pay a Tchavi margin above Moonshot AI's list price; a discounted model can come out at or even below that list price while the discount lasts. The exact price of every Moonshot AI model is in the table. What you get for it: one account, one key and one balance for more than 100 models, images and video included; top-ups by mobile money, no bank card needed, with the operator fee absorbed by Tchavi; credits that do not expire.

Create a Tchavi account, top up from 1,000 F CFA, then generate a key in your dashboard. It is a Tchavi key (it starts with sk-tch-), not a Moonshot AI key: you do not need a Moonshot AI account. The same key calls Kimi K3 and every other model on Tchavi.

No. Every call to Kimi K3 or Kimi K2.5 is taken from your balance, per token. Top up from 1,000 F CFA; credits do not expire.

Top up with mobile money, no bank card needed: for example M-Pesa in Kenya, MTN MoMo or Airtel Money in Uganda and Rwanda, MTN MoMo in Zambia. No Moonshot AI account to open: you call Kimi with your Tchavi key.

Yes. Tchavi exposes an OpenAI-compatible API: keep your code and change two lines, baseURL (https://tchavi.com/api/v1) and apiKey (your sk-tch-… key), then pass the model name, for example kimi-k3.1-pro.

In the table, Kimi K3 is the highest-priced model and Kimi K2.5 has the lowest entry price. These are text models, called like any OpenAI model.

No: Tchavi does not store your prompts, including the ones you send to Kimi. Usage logs hold token counts only.
